Soleil Carlström Hébert
I’m Soleil, an artist who creates bold, expressive works
that explore color and texture to evoke emotion and movement.
Creating is as natural as breathing. Through color, texture, form, and photography, I explore the spaces between opposites—light and shadow, chaos and order, the seen and unseen. Guided by feel, I work with acrylics, paper, pigment, clay, and my camera, layering until each piece speaks on its own and invites quiet reflection.
Soleil Carlström Hébert is a Swedish artist based in Milan, Italy, whose work explores the tension between the visible and the unseen. Drawing on her multicultural heritage - Swedish, African-American, and Native American - she creates art that transcends boundaries, weaving together bold structures, dynamic colors, and layered textures to convey emotions beyond words.
Educated in both economics and kinesiology before pursuing art at NABA in Milan, Carlström Hébert’s multidisciplinary background informs a practice rooted in curiosity, transformation, and the search for meaning. Working primarily in painting, sculpture, and mixed media, she embraces paradoxes such as light and shadow, chaos and order, and the feminine and masculine. Her intuitive process combines acrylics with materials like paper, pigment powder, and clay, inviting chance and the “element of surprise” to shape each piece.
Carlström Hébert’s work is often described as dreamlike, emotional, and reflective—an open space for contemplation rather than fixed meanings. Through her art, she aims to take viewers on a visual journey that transcends boundaries and invites personal reflection, inspiring others to explore emotions, ideas, and the richness of the human experience. She seeks to bridge the aesthetic and the conceptual, creating art that is both visually compelling and spiritually resonant.
